My Story

After reading “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” from Robert Kyosaki, I have decided to invest in Tax Liens and Tax Deeds: both are excellent investments.

What is a Tax Lien?

A Tax Lien is an unpaid property tax certificate. When property taxes are not paid, the local county is depraved of this revenue (for the local schools, roads, etc). Thus the county allows to pay the property taxes in lieu of the owner in the exchange of a lien to the property: that is the Tax Lien.

What is a Tax Deed?

When a Tax Lien is unpaid for more than 2 years (and the taxes are still unpaid by the owner of property) a Tax Deed can be initiated: it is the liquidation of the property (to pay the arrears).
